Thirty days later, Mariska, ever the bold and beautiful soul, nudged the universe forward and asked for clarity. Julian responded with a smile and the sweetest words: “Will you be my girlfriend?”

From that moment, our weekends became sacred—filled with study sessions, work catch-ups, and quiet moments of prayer. We built our foundation not just on love, but on God’s word, grace, and shared purpose.

Then came the milestones. Julian turned the big 3-0, followed by Mariska’s own sparkling celebration. Just six days after her birthday, in the breathtaking beauty of Dullstroom, Julian knelt down and asked the question that would change everything.
