Wedding and  Venue Rules

It is imported to be advised that accommodation booking is

essential. There aren't any Uber services operating in the area, and we would love for all our guests to feel safe and enjoy the after party with us as well.

The Venue

Bushveld Pond

Very important:

Uber services are not available at the wedding venue and surrounding area.

Accommodation Rules:

  1. Check-in at 2PM. All guests are to call 083 377 8511 for check-in on arrival.

  2. Check-in before 2PM is not allowed.

  3. Check out no later than 10 AM.

  4. R500 payable for early or late check-in/out.

  5. Bushveld Pond does not provide breakfast. We recommend Zuider Ster Pub and Grill for breakfast, ±1 km from the wedding venue.

  6. No open fires allowed because of thatched roofs.

  7. Single room rates are not available. The full price for the room will be charged if the room is used for a single person.

  8. Double rooms are strictly for two guests.

Alternative accommodation: 

Options are available in the areas surrounding the wedding venue. Guests are responsible for booking and paying for their accommodation outside of the Bushveld Pond Wedding Venue.

Breakage Deposit:

 

The bridal couple pays a deposit to cover breakage, including breaking the rules of the venue. We trust our guests to abide by the rules to avoid losing the full deposit. We strictly enforce the venue rules, and any violation will lead to no refund of the deposit.

 

Venue Rules:

  1. No guests allowed at the venue until 2PM. Only the bride, groom, and suppliers will be allowed between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

  2. The ballroom hall and bar close strictly at 23:30.

  3. After parties and smoking/vaping in the rooms are strictly not allowed.

  4. The swimming pool area is the designated after-party area only available after the hall lock-up and only to guests who have booked to sleep over at the Bushveld Pond accommodation. Non-stayover guests who use the facilities will forfeit the bridal couple’s breakage deposit.

  5. No music or fire allowed.

  6. No braais, Chinese lanterns, or sparkles allowed.

  7. Guests who are not booked to stay over at Bushveld Pond must leave the venue before 24:00 (midnight).

  8. Guests are not allowed to bring their own alcohol. Drinking of own alcohol out of car or on site will forfeit the bridal couple’s breakage deposit.

  9. Bushveld Pond only sells alcohol by shots and not by the bottle.

  10. Only organic confetti is allowed.

  11. The main course will be served no later than 19:00 and will be removed no later than 21:00.

  12. The main gate will be locked at 24:10 for security reasons, and only sleepover guests will then be allowed on the premises.

  13. All guests must adhere to the designated non-smoking areas.

  14. Any physical or verbal abuse to any staff of Bushveld Pond will allow Bushveld Pond to stop the function.
